Worth a Look (The View From The "Big End") - Vol I Edition 26

If you're reading this, chances are pretty darn good you're up to speed on what's goin' on.  If, however, you're new here (and that's perfectly OK...welcome!), here's the deal: I enjoy looking at photographs (I'm a photographer...go figure!), and on a regular basis I'll go wandering through the listings for the Photographers Of Etsy to do just that...look at photographs. I frequent the "Big End" because I want to catch them before they expire, give them another chance at discovery if you will.  Here are just a few of the images I found this week toward the big end of the list that I felt were worth a look.  Enjoy!

(Note:  The "Big End" is what I call the the oldest of the POE listings. To get there, do a search on Etsy under "All Items" for "poe team".  You will get a list of somewhere around 400 or 500 listings; the "Big End" is the end of the list with the highest numbers, and these are the ones about to drop off and expire.)

Tagline Roulette - Volume I, Edition 16 - "Window"

I have a list of words, currently numbered at 114, and each week I go to an online random number generator to get...(Wait for it!)...a  randomly generated number! I use this number to point me to the tag word that I'll use to search for images by Etsy POE Team members that will populate that week's feature.

This week that word turned out to be "Window" which produced a list of 9 pages, and 348 listings; a pretty good number to choose from.  Originally, my target in this feature was to put together a collection of 10 images or so, but since I don't believe I've ever managed to limit myself to only "10 images", I decided to lift the target number and just go with what I feel.

Ten images is now my minimum, and my maximum depends on the number of images in the pool and how I feel about things.  I don't want to feature so many images that folks might get bored looking at them, and once I start approaching 20 images, posting them starts to get to be a drag, so now my limit falls somewhere between "10" and "folks might get bored / this is getting to be a drag".

This week we ended up with a collection of 20 images.  Please take a look; I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

Oh, and as always, please feel free to send me your word suggestions; the list is by no means limited to 114.

Peace.

Steve

I use this number to point me to the tag word that I'll use to search for images by Etsy POE Team members that will populate that week's feature.

This week that word turned out to be "River" which produced a list of 6 pages, and 207 listings; a pretty good number to choose from.  Originally, my target in this feature was to put together a collection of 10 images or so, but I don't know that I've ever managed to limit myself to only "10 images", so I've decided to lift the target number and just go with what I feel.
