Worth a Look (The View From The "Big End") - Vol I Edition 9

On a regular basis I'll go wandering through the listings for the Photographers Of Etsy just because I like to look at photographs, whether or not I created them. I always go to the "Big End" because I want to catch them before they expire, give them another chance at discovery if you will.  Here are just a few of the ones I found this week toward the big end of the list that I felt were worth a look.   I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Vote for #5 Laura!

I started the blog to promote photography, photographs and photographers, not just me and mine, but others as well.  This is the first time I'm devoting a post to a single photographer that is not me.

Friend and fellow photographer, Laura Evans, is engaged in an online photo contest; first prize is $400 off the cost of The Boudoir Divas Boudoir Workshop in Paris, France!  I am asking all my readers (both of you) to go to http://www.thedivasblog.com/2010/03/paris-contest-we-need-your-vote/ and vote for #5 Laura.

Not only will I appreciate it, but Laura will really appreciate it!

Thanks so much!

SoDo Seattle Walkabout

This past weekend I went to Seattle on an errand, and as you might expect, I took my camera; big surprise.  After I had taken care of business, I wandered around the Pioneer Square district and captured some images.  I didn't have a preconceived notion of what I wanted to shoot, and it was interesting to see what found its way into my lens.  Here's a sampling of what I found:

Ancient Alley

SoDo Alley No. 2

SoDo Alley No. 3

Fire Escape

Suspended

Brick Facade

Brick Facade No. 2

Washington Shoe Co. Building

King Street Station

Rusted and Peeling

Evidence of people

People were there, but they're not there now.
How long have they been gone?
Did they just leave, or are they just about to arrive?
Will they be coming back at all?
