Those familiar with this blog know that I normaly use a list of words and an online random number generator to point me to the tag word used to populate this feature.
This time out I've broken with my self-imposed convention, abandoning randomness in favor of words that I thought reflected an "End of The Year" theme of death before rebirth, decay before renewal, ending before a new beginning and pathways to the future.
I usually abide by some self imposed "general rules", such as limiting the number of times any artist (especially myself) can appear in the current feature to "1". This time out I'm focusing more on the theme and I've stepped outside the confines of those rules; not only will you see some artists represented more than once, you will also see images that have already been featured in this blog.
The words I've selected for this end of the year feature are: "End", "Last", "Finish", "Old", "Dead", "Expired" and "Tired". I didn't bother to count the number of pages and listings I went through, but we ended up with a collection of 29 images. Please take a look; I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!
Happy New Year!

How utterly palindromic!
Peace and Happy New Year to all! May 2011 be better than 2010!
I was trying to settle on a word for the year, then wondered...... as I kept thinking, "That's my favorite!" "No, that one is!". . . that perhaps my word should be indecisive.
ReplyDeleteAh, but then deciding on indecisive is in itself decisive, is it not?
